You've had quite the impressive indoor season so far in the high jump, clearing 2.32m, 2.34m and 2.36m in Europe. How was the experience for you overseas now that you're back in the United States?

My recent trip to Europe was a huge success that exceeded personal expectations. I was jumping against the best in the world and beating them. I not only competed great but I had a blast soaking in all the fan support, press conferences questions, banquet parties and publicity that the sport has to offer out in Europe. This was all a new experience for me. Its the first time I have been out in Europe and felt like I can win every meet. Now being back in the USA I now have more confidence than ever going into the outdoor season. In the past at major events I always knew I could surprise people if I were to win a medal but now people are respecting me more as a jumper and I know that I am a contender.

How are you feeling heading into the USATF Indoor Championships in Boston?

When I was in Europe I had 5 meets in 15 days and all of those meets I jumped at least 2.30m (7-6.5) with jump attempts at bars like 2.38m (7-9.75) it took a toll on my body. Also all the traveling every 3 days from one small European hotel to another in places that are up to 3 hours from the airport wears you down in another way. I am now able to finally rest for a week before USA's which is great. I have not got great training in for the past three weeks but with only one more meet left I will of course give it my all one last time. Honestly I am not expecting to get a ...
